What a great story JJ. As you know I have two cats and they play revolving positions all the time. It's too funny at times.

Now, something about JJ. First, JJ really is my name. It's the first initial of my first and last name and I have been called JJ for over forty years.
I was born in a little town in north Florida in August of 1941, and just a few months later, the US went into WW11 when Pearl Harbor was bombed. My family stayed in Florida till I was five and we moved to California, right outside what is now Hollywood. That only lasted a year and we moved to a small town in North Carolina and lived in left over military housing for two years. Then we moved to Charlotte and lived in a house and later an apartment. Then we moved to Atlanta, Georgia and lived in one house for five years and then my parents bought a house and we moved there. I was now sixteen with a brother two years older and twin brothers nine years younger.
I met my future husband my first semester of college and married him the following year, I dropped out of college which was normal in those days. So I got married in the summer to Tom, and I am still married to Tom in 2013. Tom was in the Air Force for awhile and spent one tour in Viet Nam. We had two daughters, and when years went by and no more babies came, we adopted a baby boy in 1970. They are all grown up now, and I have five grandchildren. My oldest grandchild, a girl, is also all grown up now and is getting married tomorrow. So the family is pretty excited and very busy. But suddenly tonight, I am alone. My husband and son have gone off to get some things needed for tomorrow, and my out of town nephew has rushed off to meet up with my younger daughter, the mother of the bride, at the rehearsal dinner restaurant. So I have a few minutes to post.
I did later go back to college, got a BS degree in Sociology and went to Law School and graduated in 1988. I have had a number of interesting jobs over the years, but for most of the years when my children were growing up, I was a stay at home mom.
I love having pets and currently have two dogs and two cats. Over the years, with children, we have had turtles, gerbils, hermit crabs, parakeets, fish, and I'm sure other things I would prefer not to remember. I like music, mostly classical or easy listening. Oh yes, and I played the French horn in the high school band. I am also a reading addict and I love to play video games, mostly shooters, action or RPG. My favorite weapon is a sword when I play.
I have a rather strange sense of humor sometimes, and can almost always find the funny side of things. I also tend to be a bit too forward and abrupt when I speak. I am brutally honest and have to watch that so I don't hurt feelings. I tend to be a bit too motherly and want to pat everyone and kiss them and make it better. Fortunately, since I come from the south, people just make allowances for the crazy southern lady.
I have had a lot of physical ailments over the years, and I tried to be like the Energizer Bunny and keep on going, but finally, just too many things happened to me, so I am mostly handicapped now and use a walker in the house and a power chair when I leave the house. My eyesight got messed up, too, but my brain is still working on all cylinders. Just ask my husband, he will tell you he can't ever get away with anything.

Thank you Tina. Now, a few more photos, again, these are older, because the family pets have changed over the years. The gray cat here passed away last winter. We have had three male cats names Sam since 1969. Two lived to the age of sixteen and one to the age of 13, so that is 45 years we have had a cat named Sam in our lives. Here you go... Here is our Tucker saying Hello! This is Murphy, sleeping on the table in the sun room, her favorite spot. I keep several rough textured placemats on the table because she favors them. We don't allow the cats on the regular table, but I let her sleep here and scrub the table if the kids want to use it...well, if she will let me. Here is Sam, checking out the pet door on the left, he is wondering why Murphy hasn't come out yet. Sam again, curled up in the underbrush. You can hardly see him without me having lightened the picture. Here is Tucker doing his 'thing', guarding Mom and Dad. Here he is, the sink stealer and push my face around in the night nuisance, my son's cat. Little Man, or as my granddaughter calls him Mailman. He is in his favorite napping place, my husband's sink. He moved in with us last summer for a short visit. Well, he isn't leaving if I have anything to say about it. I love him dearly I was laughing my arse off at Tom having to contend with a cat in his sink when he wanted to wash up or brush his teeth and the dude moved on to greener pastures. Here he is in my sink. I tried turning on the water to encourage him to move and he just rolled on his back and squirmed around in his bath. What a hoot! I need to get picture of him way down in the toilet getting a drink.

Now, you get to meet our youngest, he was only about four months old and we'd had him about a month. He still wasn't all that used to the backyard and followed the older dog everywhere he went. Here they are, Old Guy Tucker and Young Whippersnapper Henry. I don't know what they found so fascinating. Henry checks this tree out every day. I think he has high aspirations. Can't tell if Tucker is hiding or waiting for the next go round. Henry is really good at the Poor Me expression. Right before he pounces on Tucker's ears. Tucker has such long soft ears and they are a great temptation to a puppy.

Once Upon a Time In Henryville... year, 2008 These pictures are a combination of Littleman and his new little brother Henry. Now you need to understand that Henry thinks the sun rises and sets in his own behind and that he is ferocious. He can pounce and bark and cause fear to strike into any unwary stranger. Lo and behold, he never met a cat that could care less about all his posturing. Poor Henry...he gets very frustrated. This saga begins with Henry and his big brother Tucker taking a stroll in the yard. One of the things that Henry has discovered is that his parent's yard is full of ants....really large ants. Hmm...maybe he can prove his prowess as a mighty hunter?" Well shoot, as soon as he runs a mighty ant to ground, his big brother comes over to investigate because he is just sure that little brother has found food? But wait...here comes another worthy adversary...it's the Dreaded Littleman! "What," says Littleman, "Are you talking to me?" So Henry tries to strike up a conversation..."Uh, Hi, I was in the neighborhood and, uh ,well I was wondering, uh well, What's up?" Littleman told Henry "Not much, what's up with you?" But then Henry asked, "Uh would you mind if I sniffed your butt?" Littleman was so surprised that he rolled onto his back and that so shocked Henry that one of his ears finally stood up like it's supposed to! "Darned right I mind," said Littleman, recovering quickly, "Go away twerp." So Littleman protects his hindquarters by sitting it down and waiting to see what happens next. Well, it just so happens that right next to Littleman is a handy dandy rock. "Now this might work," thinks Henry. "Surly if I appear taller than Littleman he will let me have my way with him?" Alas, Littleman was not impressed. And so dear reader, ultimately Littleman had his place in the sun and Henry will have to wait for another day to prove his superiority.
