Why does it always take a serious situation for people to stop & realize life is short? With my dads situation, I've been thinking about all this stuff that I want to do when he gets out of the hospital. Why did it take me so long? Why didn't I do it before? Like family pictures, I'm always snapping shots of the kids. I realized that I need to do that of all my family because you never know what could happen. This was not expected at all for us and it woke me up. I realized I didn't even have a photo of Papa & both of his grandbabies. It saddens me to realize that we missed out of capturing so many memories on camera. Now I'm probably going to be the annoying photographer because I plan to take as many pictures as I can.

Your post made me stop and think, Tina. I have plenty of photos of my grandchildren when they were small, but very few of them in the past few years and now they are all grown up. My granddaughter is getting married in September and I will be taking photos like crazy.
It is sad to say that it often takes a dreadful happening to make us pause and examine our life and realize we need to make some changes.
I am keeping your dad and the family in my thoughts and prayers, Tina. I hope he makes a full recovery.

I can't answer that Tina. For some family is the most important thing they have and for others not so much. I think you don't realize it until they are gone sometimes.
